Fishing games for organizational fundraising

Many individuals fish in order to catch real fish that can become dinner for the evening or a trophy to hang on the wall.  Others enjoy playing fishing games.  Fishing games use skills similar to those one would use at a lake or river, but are often played by children.  Adults may play games that involve a bet to enter and result in a very nice prize.  Other games may be designed to improve actual fishing skills as well as rights to brag.  The fisher can tell the story of the fish that got away.

Simple games may involve a magnet on a string to pull a prize from a box.  This game works like claw machines.  If the prize is dropped before being retrieved, then the angler does not win the prize.  A similar variation has the person fishing over a wall or curtain to get the unseen prize.  This game may be operated like a grab bag to quickly get rid of excess merchandise with one bigger prize.  Games with bigger prizes normally cost more to enter.  Other games are games of skill such as the longest cast, the most accurate cast or the person fastest at baiting a hook.  Of course, fishing tournaments are very popular with both children and adults in many regions.

Using these ideas, a person may want to ask random questions to the committee planning a school carnival or other similar event.  The person may find that a fishing game would be appropriate as a form of entertainment for those who will be attending the event.  The fishing booth may be popular with both adults as well as children, especially if planners take time to set clear directions for contestants.  The event may help to raise money for your favorite organization or school.
